Kwame Ababio
Junior Fellow
Kwame Ababio is a Research Fellow at the Climate Policy Lab and PhD Student at the Fletcher School of Tufts University with his research interests being climate finance, energy transitions, climate and agriculture, climate diplomacy, and international business.
He is head of the Environment and Climate Change Unit at the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) which is the development body of the African Union. Kwame provides technical leadership on several sustainable development initiatives in Africa through program delivery, partnership building, capacity development and resource mobilization through engagements with a range of actors.
He has represented the African Union at many global gatherings, especially on the Multilateral Environment Agreements and overseen the implementation of the NEPAD Climate Change Fund and the Africa Climate Smart Agriculture Alliance providing technical and financial support to the African Union member countries.
Kwame holds a Master's Degree in Environmental Governance from the University of Freiburg in Germany and has authored many publications on Environmental Governance and Climate Change.
