Roba Jilo is a Ph.D. candidate at Fletcher School and a Junior Research Fellow at the Climate Policy Lab. His research focuses on the intersection of Land Policy and Climate change in lowland areas where desertification and development odds are putting millions of pastoralists at the frontlines of the climate crisis. Before Fletcher, Roba worked in the nonprofit sector for several years, working with coffee producers, beekeepers and developing dairy cooperatives. He has a dual degree: in Sustainable International Development and a Social Impact MBA from Brandeis University. Roba has obtained his B.A from Addis Ababa University in Foreign Language (English) and communication.
