Travis Franck

Climate Modeling and Policy Director
Travis Franck is Climate Modeling and Policy Director for the Climate Policy Lab. He is helping decision makers tackle complex climate change issues including deep decarbonization, community resiliency, climate mitigation, and energy system transformation. He leads a team of modelers, fellows, and analysts to build useful, policy-relevant tools that highlight how people’s livelihoods are affected by the dynamics of climate change and society’s responses.
Dr. Franck was Chief Technology Officer at Climate Interactive prior to working for The Fletcher School/Tufts University. He has presented in many different forums, including UNFCCC COPs, World Bank, OECD, UNDP, business roundtables, and numerous conferences. Past project partners have been all around the world, including Ethiopia, Morocco, US, EU, Brazil, and China. He holds a Research Affiliate position at MIT Sloan School of Management.
Dr. Franck has a Ph.D. in Engineering Systems from MIT, a S.M. in Technology Policy and Civil Engineering from MIT, and a B.S. in Computer Science and Environmental Science from Iowa State University. Read Travis’ CV
