United Nations 2023 Water Conference

Tufts University Delegation

Tufts University sent a delegation to the United Nations Water Conference from March 22-24 in New York. The UN 2023 Water Conference was the first such conference in over 40 years, and brought together delegates from around the world to create new commitments, pledges and actions towards achieving SDG 6 and other water-related goals and targets, compiled in the Water Action Agenda.

The Fletcher School’s Shared Waters Lab at Tufts University is a research initiative led by Melissa McCracken that works to explore the complexities surrounding cooperation over freshwater resources that transect or define boundaries, with the aim to promote and encourage effective cooperative processes that are equitable and sustainable.
